Hi, Could anyone possibly tell me the size and number of batteries the Allied Radio KG-275A Light Meter uses? I looked everywhere I could think of on the Internet with no luck, so as you can tell, I'm getting desperate!! ( I found my KG-275A in a storage box which hasn't been opened for "ions." but there were no batteries in it, so I hope you can help solve my "mystery!!" Thanks for your time and help!!

Hi, I have been looking for the same information and I found it here: www.jollinger.com/photo/cam-coll/manuals/meters/Knight-kit%20KG-275%20meter%20-%20Owners.pdf The meter takes two number PX-13 Mercury cells or equivalent. I haven't looked for that number as of this time but I seriously doubt that it is available or made anymore. I don't know what the voltage is. If one of us can find out that information we may be able to make some kind of substitution. I am back from researching the battery for a replacement. You can buy two number MRB626 Made by the Wein company from eBay or Amazon.com and they are an exact replacement battery. They are called a Zinc air battery and are mercury free and they put out the 1.35 volts each as is required by the light meter.
